Be the Change you Want to see in the World

Im' doing this for kids out there my age (10) or around that age. I'll start with what inspired me to do this. There was this poster inside a school I went to it said be the change you want to see in the world. Now im in kindergarden at the time and I dont really understand it until grade 3 I realized that I needed to stop waiting for other people to do something  the people in devopling countries couldent wait  they needed help now and I wanted to be one to help them.If theres one thing my teachers have taught me is that youre never to young to do something. When I was doing a project in school (wich im still working on):) I saw that 1 billion people in the world were starving that 16 000 children like me die each day the only difference beween me and those other kids is that I have resources and we have so many resources at the flick of a handle water food all of this granted imagine if we could give some to them the deaths wold be cut in half. So think next time before you eat your food thank god (if you have a different religion thank your god) for the food that you were lucky  enough to have. Think of those little things that turned huge remember terry fox he had a dream to raise money for cancer but instead of some people who just sat there waiting for an oppertunity he went out and followed through with his dream didnt let cancer stop him didnt let a amputated leg stop him and now I realize that I have to stop waiting for an oppertunity I need to make one. Just simple things like getting your friends together and doing a walk for money to donate to places in need if everyone chips in like that we can make the world a better place. So I have realized its time for me to be the change I want to see in the world.

  1. This is beautiful Charlie, I also really admire Terry Fox and I agree that if you want to see change in the world, you have to be the change. You're an inspiration, and a computer genius too :-) Keep it up buddy.

  3. Charlie, I am so impressed and encouraged by your words. We always knew you were special, how wonderful that others can now share in your vision. Terry Fox started with only his Father as a follower and look at what he achieved!

  4. Charlie, This is really good! I would also like to add some other really good role models are Martin Luther King Jr and Mahatma Gandhi.
